Working at Dr. Wu's office has been so helpful to my pursuit of a dental career! Over the past two years, I have honed countless new skills in dental office administration, clinical work and patient care. I have had to opportunity to assist procedures from cleanings and fillings to crowns preps, root canals and implant surgeries. This is a great place to gain hands-on clinical experience. Dr. Wu is a wonderful mentor and is truly invested in student's learning experience and success.
This practice is a great place to build community with fellow pre-dental students and patients within the NYU community. I have had the pleasure of learning new clinical skills alongside other motivated students and getting to know so many interesting patients along their dental journey.

Do not hesitate to ask questions. Dr. Wu and Dr. Sherry are both very intent on helping assistants learn as much as possible!

What I liked
Working here is a great opportunity for pre-dental students to get the chance to build their clinical experience and make some money as well. Dr. Wu is a great mentor and is very patient while teaching which makes it super easy to learn quickly and adjust to the office. The staff here are also so kind and helpful and the patients love coming back. You get both clinical and office experience so you can understand the different aspects of providing care.

The fastest way to learn is by getting your hands-on experience and not being afraid to make mistakes. Talk to the patients, ask questions, and take notes if you have to!
