I loved the opportunity to be outside. My job required daily visits to vineyards to evaluate them for pests and disease, as well as testing grapes for sugar levels. I loved learning about the important components of growing grapes ideal for winemaking.
What I wish was different
I would have liked more opportunities for informational interviews with staff across the company. I would have liked opportunities to learn systems and processes in the company, as well as one-on-one time with my manager learning how to negotiate with growers.
Advice
Be diligent about sharing information - all data must be accurate and timely. Harvest is very short, with little room for error.
