U-Haul International

Internal Communications Intern

June 2019 • Phoenix, AZ

What I liked

I love how my co-workers expect a lot from me, but also give me lots of chances to grow and develop. I attend quarterly business meetings where I often represent my department in front of the heads of different U-Haul programs, like hitches, corporate sales, and the U-Haul Contact Center. My department even let me write the cover story for the November-December issue of "U-Haul News," which is our bimonthly employee magazine. My coworkers have an eye for detail and expect excellence, in my writing and elsewhere, but they are also kind, fun mentors who are extremely flexible with my schedule depending on my needs. A fantastic place to work!
