“Super awesome to get hands-on experience, they know you're a student (so you're still learning) and are totally understanding when you make mistakes or ask for help. Works around your school schedule. Really cool group of people (networking!) that you don't work under, but you still see them and interact with them sometimes. You are able to know graduate students and have more fun in office hours with professors, since the researchers at UC Davis are so tied together within a field. Ties together your academics/college courses and gives you more context (sometimes an upper edge) in your classes. ”
