I enjoyed being able to interact with so many different people from around the world. Every time a workshop was put together, people upwards of 20 countries were represented.
I worked on very different projects, from a youth workshop on climate resilience and disaster reduction, to speak writing and editing for the former Secretary General of the UN, Bi-Ki Moon, to Sustainable Island Tourism.
What I wish was different
I would have like to have known more housing options before I went. It was a month before I found a great place near the office. It is hard to find spots because it is a tourist and honeymoon spot.
Advice
Just say yes. Don't go into any situation thinking you won't like it. You never know until you try.

Communications and Private Sector Alliances Intern
June - August 2018 • Tegucigalpa, Francisco Morazán Department
What I liked
Every employee embodied the mission of the organization and was motivated to help the country as much as they could.
What I wish was different
Even though all of UN internships are unpaid, I believe the amount of work and commitment required by this internship merits some sort of compensation.
Advice
Any idea is welcomed and you are not limited to the projects given to you by your manager!
