I liked that it was a perfect way to get my feet wet in the industry I was looking to get into. My mentor allowed for me to try many different things and always made time for check-ins on me to make sure everything was going great. Awesome environment!

Advice
If doing this internship, be aware that you have be proactive in engaging with staff members and community members. Everyone in the office does so much in the community and has great experience to share, but to get it you have to pursue these opportunities. Additionally, once you have a project idea, comments, or opinions—write them down or create a presentation! Your input can help, but it has to be accessible and be able to wait for a bit.
