The coworkers and management were amazing. I also liked that my position changed every day so I would never get bored.

A little more choice in what I was doing would have been nice, especially if there was a specific position that I wanted to avoid.

Take your orientation seriously, try everything in your first few days. Don't take anything too seriously.

I just wish the workload was distributed more evenly. It was very hot in the summer and if the workload was disbursed better I would've enjoyed the job a lot more.

My on the job training was not up to standards so I wish I could have gotten a better trainer.
Advice
Whenever customers were unhappy about the cost of food, universal food service rules. Etc. they would always take it out on me. My best advice to someone who might experience this in the work force is that the people are not actually mad at you they are mad at the company so do not take it personal!! Just try to help them the best you can and make to keep clam and be polite.

The internship program at Universal is great at making the interns feel like a part of the team. My boss and her team members gave me real projects that allowed me to make meaningful contributions. They also trusted me to attend meetings and meet many people around the company to gain a better understanding of what a career might be like at Universal.
What I wish was different
The lack of a formally structured intern program meant that formal intern events and other intern-specific resources were not as robust as at other companies.
Advice
Maximize your time at Universal by taking on as much work as they will give you and meeting as many people as you can.
