At the Applied International Development Economics (AIDE) Lab we research a range of topics in applied economics, around the world. Our core research focuses on the economic and environmental challenges facing individuals and households in developing countries. Specifically, we seek to understand how technology adoption can reduce food insecurity and how environmental risk and climate change threaten the progress that has been made since the Green Revolution to reduce hunger. More recently, we've been exploring the socioeconomic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic in Sub-Saharan Africa.
