I am impressed with how patient the researchers, engineers, faculty, grad students, and all staff are. They take time to explain things in detail and care about communicating the big picture- not just the small task at hand.

Advice
Apply for every opportunity that might be remotely relevant to you. Physics is not my major, but this experience is valuable, enjoyable, and many of the skills I am learning will translate.
