I loved that I got to get paid to continue research in a lab I had been working in for three years, voluntarily. It was also a good environment to get to study while I was running reactions.
What I wish was different
I wish I wouldn't have had to commit so much time for the grant.
Advice
Bring a jacket because it's always cold in the lab...

Advice
The pay is really low. I would not recommend to people who have a mortgage, car payments, etc.. But the chance to work closely with professors is rewarding.

What I liked
Overall, it was a really good experiment and helped me to grow in my field- criminal justice. This program motivated me to start the path to earning my Ph.D
What I wish was different
I would have liked the program to be longer. It was really in depth, and one month was pretty short.

To step out of your comfort zone to try new things and to always ask questions
