I learned a lot about the field of neuroscience and neurosurgery. My research focused on Epilepsy and I got to learned all about the disorder and what is being done to address it.
What I wish was different
I would’ve liked to have had more preparation before arriving to the site. I had no prior neuroscience knowledge and I would’ve liked to have been more informed before I started my research.
Advice
It was amazing experience. Anyone with the opportunity to conduct research in their field of interest should! I would recommend to read a lot about previous studies done in the field prior to the beginning of the internship.
