I loved the people that I became coworkers and friends with through this position. I feel as though I have found a professional home right here on the university of chicago campus. I was also lucky enough to experiment with working for another department that I was not originally employed to and was offered a joint position with them and my current employers for the coming academic year.
What I wish was different
The only thing I would change about my time in the office would be to push to advocate for myself more and not undersell my own skills in the name of humility.
Advice
I advise all young professionals to know their worth. You don't have to be cocky to recognize and advertise your own experience. There are places and times for humility, but I do not believe your job search should be one of them. Let your employers see who you are and what you can do!
