I liked how we were able to help students feel more comfortable with what to expect from our university, especially with all of the uncertainty that covid has caused. I also liked the community that I created with the other Orientation Leaders, and how we all became closer to one another and made friends.
What I wish was different
I wish we could have had more in-person opportunities to help students, but I know the reason for that was due to covid, so I understand why we didn't.
Advice
That I wish I had become an Orientation Leader sooner! I feel that it has really grown me, and I have created connections through it that I would not have had otherwise. It is a job I would recommend to anyone who wants to help their fellow students!
