What I liked
The atmosphere and researches/PI's are awesome! everyone there is very friendly and open to a conversation about science or just to hang out. There are so many cool things to learn about, I never had a day where I didn't learn something. My supervisors were very encouraging and always there to help. Best thing for certain!
What I wish was different
I wish I didn't have school at the same time as the internship or a second job.
Advice
Go in being ready to be humbled, especially if you are an undergraduate; actual science practicing and learning about science are totally different things. "Doing" science/research is much much more meticulous than just listening to a lecture about it. Be ready to learn new skills and hone your ability to focus.

What I liked
I loved working in the Lyons Lab this summer. I taught me so much about lab techniques and how to think like a scientist. I got to meet so many amazing people and build a stronger network.
What I wish was different
I am not sure I would have changed anything about this experience. I had a wonderful time.
Advice
I would say, do not be afraid to put yourself out there to meet new people and experience new things. Somethings are once in a life time experiences. Do not miss out because of fear!
