Up Cancer

Health and Fitness Intern

September 2020 • Hartford, CT

What I liked

I like the freedom and flexibility you are able to have with the internship.

What I wish was different

I wish meetings would be held at a different time as I am seldom able to attend because of classes or my on-campus job.

Advice

You will get as much out of the experience as you put it in. The more work and effort you put into your projects, the more you will learn, and the more you will be able to really assist others.

Public Relations Intern

July 2020 • Chicago, IL

What I liked

What's great about being a public relations intern at Up Cancer is that you are able to work remotely. You learn new stuff about cancer and more. It is really inspiring. From my perspective even though it is a public relations internship I am still doing lots of research and connecting with great people. You also get to work with people all across the country who have different experiences.

Human Resource Intern

December 2018 • Corvallis, OR

What I liked

I've had exposure to recruiting, hiring, on boarding, training, and development. I've done much more than the tasks assigned to me. You can do a lot with this company if you are motivated, creative and productive

What I wish was different

More communication between interns and overall team engagement. Not for everyone, recommend if you are ambitious

Advice

It's a great opportunity, it is what you make it. Up Cancer gives you the tools to learn and be creative, the more work you put in, the more you get out of it.
