About Utah County Fire

Utah County encompasses 2,142 square miles, and is the 14th largest County in the state by size and 2nd by population. Utah County includes 26 cities, over 1 million acres of unincorporated County land, 3 National Forests, 3 Wilderness areas, and various BLM, State, and Military lands. Utah County Fire is proud to offer wildland fire response to all of these areas as well as being a state and national resource for wildland fire response.

Since 2003, Utah County Fire has employed a seasonal work force of 70-80 employees to combat wildfires from April-October. Employees are used to fill needs for multiple positions including our type 2IA handcrew, in-county squad, 3 type 3 engines, 3 type 4 engines, and 2 type 6 engines. As Utah County Fire employees, and wildland firefighters, you will be held to high standards of physical fitness, accountability, and integrity.
