I am a dental hygiene major, being able to work in a field that gives you hand on experience with the financial side of dental really helps you to connect with patients once they are in the chair and have financial questions. I love that aspect of being trained all over the office.
What I wish was different
I can honestly say nothing, everything about this job experience has been great.
Advice
If students are looking into going into dental. Find an office who is willing to train you or take you in. Learn as much as you can from them because school will make more sense the more you know and you will be much more confident and comfortable with patient financial and clinical interactions.
