Visions Federal Credit Union

About Visions Federal Credit Union

What is Visions?
Member-owned and committed to the areas we serve, we’ve spent over 50 years building
relationships that grow with you. As a nonprofit financial cooperative dedicated to giving back, we invest in members and nonmembers alike, working to build businesses, boost communities, and help our neighbors throughout NJ, NY, and PA.

Visions members enjoy lower interest rates on loans, higher returns on deposits, and fewer,
lesser fees. Our communities receive a financial partner that responds to and cares for their needs, too, with over $1M in annual giveback through organizational contributions, corporate sponsorships, and more.

At Visions, it’s not just the money that’s there when you need it. We are.

History

In 1966, eight people came together with $40 to start the IBM Endicott Employees Federal Credit Union. Through the opening of new locations and mergers with other credit unions, Visions has since grown into a multibillion-dollar financial institution serving nearly 200,000 members across three states. Headquartered in Endwell, NY, Visions remains dedicated to its founding principle of people helping people.

Our Culture

As a credit union, giving back is what we do. From our not-for-profit banking model to our organizational and employee volunteerism, we pride ourselves on being part of the fabric of our communities.

Every year, we donate over $1 million to causes and organizations throughout our three-state footprint. More than that, our employees donate thousands of hours of their time, too, volunteering for causes that matter to them.

It’s not just time and money, though, it’s education, too. We provide free financial wellness programs to everyone in our communities – members and non-members alike – with nearly 8,000 people participating each year. It’s all part of our commitment to strengthening theregions we call home.

If you're someone who values community as much as we do, we'd love to have you join us.

Selected interns will be expected to work 120 hours over the course of the semester, averaging around 10-12 hours per week. If adjustments need to be made to accommodate class schedules or other duties, the intern can work with the manager to make those changes.

Interns will be expected to adhere to Visions’ policies and procedures because during the time that they are here, they are considered one of our employees. A handbook will be provided at the time of your appointment, if selected.

Internships will be paid and can qualify for academic credit. To determine eligibility for earning credit, students must consult with their academic advisor.
