Controls Engineer

“Working at Waibel so far has been a great experience due to the people and environment while working. Everyone is very helpful, friendly, and understanding. Before working here, I did not know much about controls engineering and the HVAC section of construction, but now I have learned a lot from all the people working there. Ever since I started, I have been doing important work, which really has forced me to learn a lot very quickly.”

Energy and Controls Engineering Co-op

January 2023 Vandalia, OH
“I enjoyed this co-op since it gave me a glimpse into the field of energy engineering, a topic that I was largely unfamiliar with before starting work at Building Logix. Building Logix is a building automation system (BAS) service that works with Waibel Energy Systems to provide information to clients that helps them make their buildings perform more efficiently, saving energy and money in the process. The Building Logix DataExchange website was an extremely helpful tool for someone new to the BAS world and helped me a lot during my training. My favorite part of the job was working with really helpful and engaged coworkers that showed me how to identify Energy Conservation Measures (ECM) in buildings and how to describe these opportunities to the clients. By the end of the term, I was able to present some of these ECM's to clients myself. Overall, it was a great experience and I am going to continue working for Building Logix in the summer!”
