Watts Water Technologies

Applications Engineering Intern

May - August 2022 • Blauvelt, NY

What I liked

The hands-on experience and mentorship provided by the program was invaluable in preparing me for my future career in engineering. The company's focus on developing water solutions gave me an in-depth understanding of the manufacturing industry and its challenges. I had the unique opportunity of being able to meet various experienced engineers and work on core projects. Return offers are very common at Watts.

What I liked

I was able to work with other employees and managers in different fields of work than myself which gave me an incredibly broad scope of my job and the companies goals. I was able to work hand in hand with full-time workers as well as learn valuable information from them. It was incredibly helpful and beneficial to my experience as a whole.

Sustaining Engineering Intern

June - August 2020 • Blauvelt, NY

What I liked

Hands on position with constant interaction on the manufacturing floor. Had a great intern program and supported interns in any way that they possibly could have. There were also 'intern buddies' which were early in career employees that pretty much gave us mentors for our positions.

What I wish was different

I would have preferred getting projects early in the summer instead of half-way through.

Advice

Ensure who your manager will be and what their managing style is.
