Camp Counselor - Ropes Specialist

What I liked

The main aspect that I liked about this job is that I grew up going to this camp. I worked as a Leader in Training for two years, I was a Junior counselor for two years and I was a senior counselor for two years. I got to work with kids of all ages in a specialized area of camp, so kids were always really excited when they showed up.

What I wish was different

I wish I had been able to get to know the kids better. The kids were only with me one period a day, unless they chose to come to Ropes during free period, so I got to know a bunch of kids, but not as well as I have in the past.

Advice

My piece of advice would be to stay confident in yourself and you decisions. You are the one making sure these kids are safe when they're up in the air and one wrong decision could be very dangerous.
