About Western Oregon University

Transfer Pathways is an emerging department on campus that collaborates with a variety of departments such as Admissions, Advising, Financial Aid, and the Office of the Registrar. This office also works closely with the Deans, Division Chairs, and Faculty to create seamless transfer pathways through the development of permanent course-to-course articulations, program-to-program articulation agreements, and the Degree Partnership Program to ensure that transfer student needs are met prior to enrolling at Western as well as after they have matriculated to Western. The goal of this office is to help all transfer students successfully transition to Western, experience academic success, and persist to degree completion by breaking down systemic barriers to student success.

Student worker

β€œI thoroughly enjoy my experience at WOU. The flexibility of my schedule seamlessly aligns with my dual enrollment pursuits, enabling me to effectively prioritize my academic responsibilities. Furthermore, I highly appreciate the opportunity to establish connections with new acquaintances who may play influential roles in my future endeavors. My role as a student worker not only imparts invaluable experiences but also equips me with fresh skills that I can apply to post-graduation job opportunities. Moreover, the income I earn through this work contributes to covering tuition and other essential expenses during my student years. Working as a student worker also allows me to engage more deeply in academic and extracurricular activities and access campus resources. I am not merely a student; I am an active contributor to the university's daily operations, which strengthens my connection to the institution and the community.”
