I enjoyed the people I worked for. Everyone was very welcoming and it was a great environment for on-hands learning, and contributing to the company. Everyone was open to questions and was very willing to answer/discuss. They were willing to work with your schedule so that it was comfortable for you.
What I wish was different
There was not much I would have done differently. This was my first taste of working at a mining company, and moreover within the environmental side. If anything I wish I had done more field testing of the water samples and air samples.
Advice
A piece of advise is be prepared to engage everyone you come across. Safety is key when working at a mining company, so it's best to be vocal and engaging in safety discussions and presentations.
