Engineering Intern

May - August 2023 • Pittsburgh, PA

What I liked

I really liked the structure of the program. The team was very welcoming and open to answer questions or review concepts about the business (including processes, projects and budgets). It was nice to have an internship that sets goals for the students so they can make the most out of the internship.

What I wish was different

I wish I had more in-person participation. In project development, we are not always in the field, so I only had first hand interactions with operators and engineers in the field a few times over the summer.

Advice

Always take the initiative and ask questions. This shows that you're eager to learn and participate more!

Engineering Intern

What I liked

I loved working out in the field and seeing the different aspects of natural gas gathering and processing. I gained engineering knowledge and learned so much ranging from glycol dehydration to more mechanical processes such as reciprocating engines and compressors.

Advice

Ask the other engineers you work with about their specific projects and specialties. You can make the most out of your internship that way
