About Woodbury County Conservation Board

The Dorothy Pecaut Nature Center is a public educational facility that opened its doors in 1995. This award-winning Nature Center is located in the northwest corner of Sioux City, Iowa in Stone State Park.

The Woodbury County Conservation Board is the managing agency for the Dorothy Pecaut Nature Center and several Woodbury County Parks. There are more than 5,500 acres of public land for you to hike, bike, camp, fish, hunt, and explore in Woodbury County.
