Business Operations Intern

May - August 2022 • Frisco, TX

What I liked

There was a lot to love about this internship. The people were kind, welcoming, and inclusive. My boss and coworkers were extremely supportive and always willing to answer my questions. I love that I got useful, real hands-on experience. I was helping with audits, streamlining processes, and generating surveys to gauge employee satisfaction. I learned so much as it relates to how a successful business is run and how departments interact with one another.

What I wish was different

I had such a great experience with WorldLink there is not much I wish had been different. I think pairing each intern with an employee in the field they are interested in would be a great idea. This mentor relationship would be great for seeking career advice and networking. Due to the company's size, I am not sure how feasible this would be but maybe something that could happen in the future.

Advice

My piece of advice would be to apply to any internship position you are interested in. Everyone has to start somewhere. Hard/technical skills can be taught on the job and through experience. Soft skills can be used to your benefit and applied in any career path you take.
