Technical Support Engineering Intern

July - December 2020 • Waukegan, IL

What I liked

The role of over the phone aftermarket support worked well as a remote experience

What I wish was different

Getting to work in an office space everyday and make those connections with fellow employees would have been beneficial.

Advice

You will never think you are prepared enough for your first support call, but you really need to just "jump in the deep end" to continue to improve in the role.

Project Management Intern

May 2019 - August 2020 • Waukegan, IL

What I liked

I really enjoyed the department. My manager was awesome and was always willing to talk about the company and operations. My co workers were among the best I've worked with to date. The office was incredibly relaxed, while maintaining professional courtesy at all times. The dress code was ideal.

What I wish was different

Due to my job description I worked at a desk most of the day. Not really a way to change that, but this is something I didn't enjoy.

Advice

Make a point to go out of your way to find work.
