Most importantly I loved the people I worked with and the company environment. Everyone was extremely kind and always made time to answer questions. I had the opportunity to use a lot of the things I've learned in school and apply them to my work at the internship. The everyday tasks were very hands on and quick paced.
What I wish was different
It can be quite intimidating in the moment of big meetings or with important people, so sometimes I would hold back my creative ideas. I preferred to listen to my peers and observe their creative process. Looking back I would like to have gone outside of my comfort zone more often.
Advice
I encourage people to put themselves out there and take advantage of every opportunity. If your department does not have a task for you that day, go interact and meet with other people in the company. People notice your hard work and initiative to collaborate.

What I liked
I liked being able to research and write about topics that I enjoyed, and see them get posted to the YES Network website! I also liked getting to meet and talk to high level executives during "lunch and learns" and getting to do a big presentation at the end of the summer that was shown to those same execs.
What I wish was different
The location, my commute was too long and there was always a ton of public transportation and traffic issues.
Advice
Make the most of your internship and go out of your way to talk to people who know a lot about what you are interested in!

What I liked
Sports media is something I’m really passionate about but never knew what the industry was really like, so this experience, working in the city really showed me what I wanted to do post college
What I wish was different
Commuting and and hour and 15 minute there and an hour and 15 home was rough

You can learn from anything from any internship but finding something that you like is an experience like no other
