YMCA of Greater Rochester

Daycare Teacher

August 2020 • Pittsford, NY

What I liked

I loved getting experience with so many age groups. I loved learning how to lesson plan and manage activities. I love that I'm being trusted with such an important service to families. I had amazing coworkers and loved bonding with all the children.

What I wish was different

I wish the workplace was better at accommodating the employees need to occasionally take time off. I also wish that there was a more consistent schedule and that you were able to get out on time.

Advice

Only do this job if you are truly passionate about working with children because it is not as easy as it's made out to be.
