About Youth Spirit Artworks

Youth Spirit Artworks (YSA) is a non-profit jobs readiness training program that uses art as a vehicle to empower and transform the lives of homeless, low income, and disabled young people, ages 16 to 25, in the San Francisco Bay Area. Youth Spirit Artworks was founded in 2007 as a response to the enormous employment challenges faced by young people and the need for opportunities to earn an income while getting valuable experience in a workplace setting. “Loved working with a dedicated team of volunteers who cared about housing for youth in the Bay!”

“This was an incredible job opportunity that allowed me to work with a lot of really bright, amazing young artists. I loved helping to lead the Sales Program with our team of street vendors, talking with the youth one-to-one about their personal struggles, and helping out with administrative aspects of YSA’s Tiny House Village project. ”
