Zynga

Product Management Intern

June - September 2019 • San Francisco, CA

What I liked

Zynga was an amazing place to work, both in terms of the work I was doing and the company culture. Working for such a large company was made far more approachable by excellent coworkers, and I found the work both challenging and rewarding. Good work is rewarded and celebrated, and management works to create an environment where people are encouraged to work together and ask for help when needed.

What I wish was different

The company was undergoing some internal reorganization both structurally and physically over the summer, which led to some inconveniences, especially as a new employee that had to leave before seeing all of the benefits of the change.

Advice

Be open to exploring opportunities outside of your particular concentration of study, often a role can potentially be filled from people from all sorts of backgrounds, each of whom bring something unique to the table.

What I wish was different

Advice

Don't be afraid to take risks and try things out! The team that I was a part of was very open and encouraging to new ideas. This also goes for outside of work. SF has so many communities that you can be a part of and contribute to.
