Software Engineer Intern

June - September 2019 • Sunnyvale, CA

What I liked

The team, company values, efforts to welcome interns, office space, coffee machine :)

What I wish was different

They were still trying to figure out what my project would be for a couple weeks after my start date and I wish that could’ve been figured out ahead of time.

Advice

I was the first intern ever in the product development sector and it was a great experience overall! In terms of the project, I was the only intern put on it and I wasn’t given all the requirements ahead of time but I got to learn on the fly and be flexible. I really loved the people I was working with and the environment in general.

Sales Intern

June - September 2019 • Redwood City, CA

What I liked

I really liked the culture of the company. My mentor was very invested in my growth as a professional which really helped build my confidence in terms of my relationship-building skills.

What I wish was different

I wish I had the opportunity to actually cold call. I think this is a really valuable experience and genuinely gives you a leg up entering your first sales job.

Advice

Take advantage of the fact that you work at the headquarters office. There are a lot of senior people that you walk by every day that are very willing to sit down and talk to you. The more you get to learn through others, the more beneficial the experience will be.
