I loved the interactive nature of the job and the fun environment of the math and science museum.
What I wish was different
I wish I would have had more time to work, but I had a very busy summer with other things going on as well.
Advice
Learn to have fun where you work. It will make working much easier.

Volunteer
June - July 2019 • Grand Junction, CO
What I liked
Teaching young kids about science and playing games with them.
What I wish was different
I wish I could have been one of the leaders leading the classroom science lessons.
Advice
Get involved and actually help take care of the kids. A lot of them have parents that work all summer during the week and they are sent to the science camps every week like a day care. Don't come just to watch netflix on your phone like some of the high school volunteers that I was with. Do the work and don't waste everyone's time.

Intern
September 2017 • Grand Junction, CO
What I liked
Eureka! staff are all very friendly. Management works great with your schedule and any requested time off. Working with the students is always a blast, especially when the theme of the camp is something you specialize in.
What I wish was different
There were some technical difficulties that were mainly due to the fact that this was our first summer in the new center and we had many new ways of operating.
Advice
Be confident in your ability to teach/work with students and focus on learning about who they are.
