FAMU-FSU College of Engineering

About FAMU-FSU College of Engineering

The FAMU-FSU College of Engineering, established by the Florida Legislature in 1983, is the joint engineering school for Florida A&M and Florida State universities, the only shared college of engineering in the nation. We are located less than three miles from each campus.
We are surrounded by eight partner research centers and a national laboratory. This unique collaboration between a top Historically-Black University and a Research-1 institution makes us a great place to learn cutting-edge engineering skills in a diverse environment offering real-world experience that employers value.

“I enjoyed that I got experience what it would be like to work in a research environment among graduate studies who are actively pursuing their degrees. The ability to be surrounded by so many knowledgeable advisers and mentors was truly inspiring. They encouraged us to work outside of the box and come up with new ways of attacking a problem. I really enjoyed the ability to utilize the many various types of machines and equipment to work on my own projects. ”
