Hidden Valley Animal Adventure is the extension of a dream that started nearly a century ago when Joseph Boxler sailed over from Switzerland on the Queen Mary in 1920 with dreams of going to California. His dreams were realized much further East than he had planned—for he stumbled upon the beautiful valley of Varysburg, bought some land, and started a dairy farm.
Joseph’s son, Hans Boxler, a successful dairy farmer for over 60 years conceived Hidden Valley Animal Adventure in 2002. He wanted to share his love of animals and envisioned a place for families to come and enjoy a truly unique experience together. The result is Hidden Valley Animal Adventure a family-run and operated animal park. Today we have over 300 animals and 40 different exotic species for you to come and interact with up close.
