The staff was very friendly and everyone is always extremely helpful.

What I wish was different

On days that it is busy, it is extremely busy. Should have more workers able to work around the holidays when it is hectic inside the store.

You get in what you put out. The job might not seem fun, but it is if you make it fun.

I love working with the customers and helping them in any way that I am able to. I enjoy collaborating with my coworkers to ensure that our department is operating smoothly and efficiently.

I wish that my schedule could have been more consistent, but the differing hours was a good experience to see all times in the store.

I like being able to put fresh produce out on the sales floor. Once you get everything done, you have time to chat with your co workers.

I had to work in 5 different departments due to them being understaffed.

Advice

Sometimes when you get all of your work done early. Help out some other departments or talk to somebody in another department.

Accommodations for Cashiers: Floor mats to help with standing in one place for a long period of time. Chairs or stools available if needed.

What I liked

I like how the job is simultaneously structured and open: there are a number of tasks you have to complete by a certain time, but you can do them in any order. It can also be very satisfying to help customers with unusual requests.

What I wish was different

I wish there was the option to sit during stationary tasks, and also to tell unreasonable customers no.

Advice

It's hard and overwhelming at first, but it clears up quickly once you get past the learning curve. Stick around past the first week or two and you'll be golden.

Certified Pharmacy Technician

What I liked

If you are thinking about going into the pharmaceutical field, this is a job for you. As of writing this statement, the Fry’s location in flagstaff Arizona is in high demand for pharmacy technicians. It is a great opportunity for learning drugs, figuring out insurance claims, and getting experience with patient communication skills. I highly recommend this job, for any pre-med student.

It's important to have these experiences because they help to shape you into a harder worker. Working jobs like this definitely shows me, and I'm sure a lot of other students, how important the education I'm receiving is.
