The Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) is one of five Minnesota park agencies and one of approximately 130 agencies in the United States that is accredited by the Commission for Accreditation of Park and Recreation Agencies (CAPRA). The MPRB is a diverse system of land and water spanning 6,790 acres of parkland and water featuring 251 park properties including the 55-mile Grand Rounds National Scenic Byway, 200+ miles of biking and walking paths, 22 lakes, 12 formal gardens, seven golf courses and 47 recreation centers. Together these properties annually receive approximately 21 million visits.
