I enjoyed working for the New Americans Museum. The internship was engaging and educational. I was taught new useful administrative skills such as communication, and organization. It allowed networking as well as new and diverse connections.
What I wish was different
The location was a bit far for me, but they were very understanding.
Advice
Be open to listening and learning about things that you think may not apply to you. Be friendly and try your hardest. Ask questions about what you don't know.

What I liked
I enjoy learning about museum curatorial work, community engagement, and learning about a field outside my major of Political Since and International Relations .
What I wish was different
More time, I was there only two or three days a week.
Advice
If you love to be social, enjoy art and history- museum work incorporates all of this, as well collaboration with local government offices who work to bring art and culture to the region.
