What I liked

I loved the people I worked with and the job itself.

What I wish was different

I wish management would have been a bit more solid. It was difficult to work there when I never knew how my schedule would turn out or how long I’d be there.

Advice

Work in something you’re passionate about, not something to get you through life unless you need to.

What I wish was different

I wish it was a job related to my major, which is psychology.

Advice

I would recommend every college student to have a serving job at least once in their life. It gives you an open door to many opportunities based on the people you get to meet. Also teaches you a lot on patience.

What I liked

Serving was a really enjoyable job, especially at the beginning. It was really fun getting to talk to people all day and always being busy (it was always busy during the summer). I worked six days a week so the tips were pretty nice and I actually got to save up a good amount of money over the summer, which usually is kind of hard for me.

What I wish was different

I wish we had a specific end time. Being a server (at olive garden at least) they don't tell you the time you're off, they just let you know when you can leave at the end of the day.

Advice

Have fun, write everything down!
