The environment in the office was good and they have had many interns over the years so they knew which level of work I could handle. They were inviting and always willing to help me better understand everything going on in the drawings or on Procore. The team wanted me to fully understand what they do as a company since I had no prior construction experience or understanding. They would try to best explain processes to me about the different stages in the building process and about the preconstruction bidding process.
What I wish was different
In the field I wish I had more to do it was a little slow at time.
Advice
Be willing to work whenever asked and ask for things to do instead of waiting to be told what to do. The more initiative you show the more respect you are given and the more you will be trusted.
