I loved the small-company and informal atmosphere of SE3 which allowed me to feel comfortable walking up to anyone to ask questions or ask for help. I was given plenty of time to study and teach myself Microstation and was given exposure to various other Transportation software suites like Synchro and SignCAD. Also, I was given discrete assignments and then given plenty of autonomy with which to figure out how to tackle each one, but also plenty of support. I would recommend a traffic or site development internship at SE3!
What I wish was different
I wish I had been able to learn Synchro more fully in my time there, but I was only there for one summer!
Advice
Make the most of your own internship - ask for training, go get it!
