It was a small team, meaning I got to know everyone and work closely with the founder of the nonprofit. I liked the independence I had while conducting projects and being able to work remotely and on my own time.
What I wish was different
A bit more guidance or structure would have been helpful though I enjoyed the freedom and openness of the position.
Advice
It was a great experience and this is an awesome organization to get involved with! Even if an internship doesn’t work out they have a lot of volunteer opportunities to get involved with. I would recommend supporting the Civics Center any way you can!
