With regards to recruitment, take a scatter gun approach and apply to many firms. Master the case prep, it should be second nature by the time you apply for jobs.
Don't be excessively formal, it is often better to be comfortably casual because it demonstrates confidence and likability. This applies to any interactions with people at the firm, whether it is in interviews or during the internship.
