Tuscarora Lodge and Canoe Outfitters is located an hour's drive up the historic Gunflint Trail, about 47 miles northwest from Grand Marais, MN on Lake Superior's North Shore. Since 1935, Tuscarora has served visitors to Minnesota's Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness.
Although we have cabins open all year, canoe outfitting is our main business and each summer day is busy and full as we help prepare several groups to head out on overnight trips in the Boundary Waters and Quetico Provincial Park. We provide our guests with the gear, advice, and routing they need to have successful, memorable adventures in America's most visited wilderness.
Many of our guests just need to rent a canoe, while others require us to pack all their equipment and food. We offer bunkhouse accommodations and a hot French toast breakfast for paddlers who want an early start to their trip, as well as shower facilities for paddlers at the end of their canoe trips. In addition to canoe outfitting, we rent six lakeside cabins in the summer.
