Advice

Retail is a good high school student job, or just a little something to keep you busy, but when you're seeking a real job or occupation, you don't really gain that many new skills or gain much experience. It's all very simple and often frivolous work.

What I liked

I enjoyed the collaborative working environment, getting to work with the other design interns, and the people there were so friendly and welcoming! My manager was awesome.

What I wish was different

Scheduling in terms of working on final projects with the other interns. Other than that, everything was great!

Advice

Be open to learning new skills, even if it seems like it does not directly relate to what you want to do. You never know when that skill could be useful in the future.

What I wish was different

Better hours, better communication, managers played favorites when it came to situations. Wish they would have given loyal employees more summer hours instead of hiring cheap 12 week workers.

Advice

It’s a minimum wage job, so don’t plan on it going above and beyond when it comes to asking for more hours and time off.
